Requirement Contract for Smart Poles

Additional Comments:

For payment of a capital contribution of $22,850.00 per smart pole the Licensee can reduce their annual recurring fee per location from $2,850.00 to $565.00 for certain smart poles on Las Vegas Blvd.

BACKGROUND:

New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC is a communication service company that has requested that it be allowed to use space on public streetlight poles to install antennas and other equipment necessary to provide wireless communication services in the County. This Agreement would allow New Cingular Wireless to remit a capital contribution of $22,850.00 per smart pole site on Las Vegas Blvd. and reduce its annual per site cost from $2,850.00 to $565.00. This agreement would also provide for 2 five-year extensions of the Master Wireless Use License Agreement.

The Board is requested to approve the attached Wireless Communications Incentive Agreement with New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC.
