BACKGROUND: 

Vehicle VIN # 4T1BB46K39U095254 has been fully utilized by the County and has been retired from service for exceeding the established replacement criteria. When U Dream a Dream, Inc. has a need for this type of equipment to provide transportation for severely physically challenged children to attend school so that their educational needs can be met.  The addition of this vehicle will directly and positively impact the lives of children, such that their physical impairment doesn't limit or become a barrier to realizing their educational potential.

In accordance with NRS Chapter 244.1505 (2) (a) the County may donate commodities, supplies, materials and equipment that the board determines to have reached the end of their useful lives to various nonprofit organizations or another governmental entity.  The donations may be used for any purpose, which will provide a substantial benefit to the inhabitants of the county.

The District Attorney has approved the resolution and agreement of transfer form.
