BACKGROUND: 

The proposed ordinance will amend Clark County Air Quality Regulation  Section 92, "Fugitive Dust from Unpaved Parking Lots and Storage Areas," to reorganize it to add clarity, provide for an alternative asphalt paving, include a new testing method and opacity standard, and repeal and adopt a new Section 94, "Permitting and Dust Control for Construction and Temporary Commercial Activities," that has been rewritten in a permitting rule format, remove and add definitions, include the Best Management Practices that were previously in the Section 94 Handbook; and repeal the Section 94 Handbook, "Construction Activities Dust Control Handbook.”

Staff recommends that a public hearing be set for August 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
