The initial Contract amount was $1,000,000. Amendment No. 1 increased the Transitional Housing with Case Management fee structure by $1.78. Amendment No. 2 will increase the Transitional Housing with Case Management fee structure by $33. The total Contract amount is subject to change based on future grants and the volume of participants in the program which is controlled by the courts and upon approved budget appropriations. |
BACKGROUND:
On November 5, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 605421-19 to Charleston Residential Services, LLC dba Crossroads of Southern Nevada (NBE), Freedom House Sober Living, Inc. (NBE) and CR Living, LLC dba Sierra Sage Recovery Services (NBE) and any future providers deemed qualified, to provide more options to place individuals awaiting substance abuse treatment into residential placement facilities for inpatient substance abuse treatment.
Anis Abi-Karam LTD dba Human Behavior Institute was deemed qualified by the Eighth District Court and agreed to the Master Contract on December 22, 2020.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods. There are 2 renewal options remaining.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
• Additional providers identified will be qualified by the Eighth Judicial District Court in accordance with the requirements of the grant.
Amendment No. 1 provided for additional services for participants, increased the rate for Transitional Housing with Case Management Cost from $28.22 to $30.00 and incorporated grant flow-down clauses into the Contract.
Approval of Amendment No. 2 will increase the rate for Transitional Housing with Case Management from $30 to $63. The attached Amendment No. 2 document details the modifications and costs involved.
Charleston Residential Services, LLC dba Crossroads of Southern Nevada, Freedom House Sober Living, Inc. Anis Abi-Karam LTD dba Human Behavior Institute and CR Living, LLC dba Sierra Sage Recovery Services currently hold a Clark County Business License.
