The initial Contract amount was $4,785,126. Amendment No. 1 will decrease the total Contract amount by $26,436.40, for a new total Contract amount of $4,758,868.60 should all renewal options be exercised, with increased user requirements included. |
BACKGROUND:
On October 6, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 605626-20 to National Medical Services, Inc. dba NMS Labs (NBE) in the amount of $4,785,126 for forensic toxicology tests.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from date of award through June 30, 2021 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods. There are 3 renewal options remaining.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 25% based on possible increased user requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 3% for possible price increases for renewal terms.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 allows for the removal of bid line items. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications involved.
National Medical Services, Inc. dba NMS Labs currently holds a Clark County Vendor Registration.
