BACKGROUND:

The Clark County Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) has approved and provided funding for the Sunset Park between Duck Creek Wash and Eastern Avenue project described in its 2018 Clark County Flood Control Master Plan Update, Structures Nos. DCSP 0000 and 0115.

The attached interlocal contract will provide funds for design engineering and entity design labor costs, with project improvements consisting of 12-foot-by-5-foot reinforced concrete box storm drain in Sunset Road between the Duck Creek Wash and Tomiyasu Lane, and 12-foot-by-5-foot reinforced concrete box storm drain extending southwesterly through Sunset Park between Sunset Road and Eastern Avenue.  The time of performance is effective to June 30, 2026, unless further time extensions are granted.

This project is approved on RFCD's Ten-Year Construction Program, with design scheduled to begin in Fiscal Year 2021-2022.  RFCD approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on August 12, 2021.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
