BACKGROUND:

In 2011, CenturyLink was awarded a Telecommunications Utility System Franchise Agreement that expired on April 5, 2021. CenturyLink has requested that the Franchise Agreement be extended for another five years pursuant to County Code. CenturyLink has substantially complied with the terms and conditions of the franchise agreement and the County Code.

Staff is recommending that the Extension of the Telecommunications Utility System Franchise Agreement be approved.
