BACKGROUND:

In October 2013, the Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) approved funding for the Las Vegas Wash - Sloan Channel to Bonanza Road and Flamingo Wash below Nellis Boulevard project on its annual Ten-Year Construction Program.  Clark County approved the interlocal contract in November 2013.

RFCD and the Board of County Commissioners previously approved Supplemental Nos. 1 through 5 to the interlocal contract, which increased total funds, formally changed the project name from "Las Vegas Wash - Sloan Channel to Bonanza Road and Flamingo Wash below Nellis Boulevard" to "Las Vegas Wash - Sloan Channel to Stewart Avenue and Flamingo Wash below Nellis Boulevard" (Project No. PW.FCLA15E), added a line item for legal fees, and extended the contract term to June 30, 2023, unless further time extensions are granted.

The attached Supplemental No. 6 to the interlocal contract reallocates funds to include a new line item for entity construction management labor costs for the subject project.

This project has been approved by RFCD on its annual Ten-Year Construction Program, and the flood control improvements proposed are described in the 2013 Master Plan Update, Structures Nos. LVMD 0883, 0908, 0911, 0912, 0916, 0923, 0925, 0948, 0950, 0974, 1031, 1033, 1046, 1048, 1054, 1069, 1071, and FLW 001 and 0005.  RFCD approved the sixth supplemental contract at its meeting on September 9, 2021.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the sixth supplemental contract as to form.
