BACKGROUND:
On February 6, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 604679-17 to J & J Enterprises Services (NBE), Las Vegas Paving Corporation (NBE), Aggregate Industries SWR, Inc. (NBE) in the amount of $4,186,666.70 for the purchase of asphalt concrete to be used by Public Works on projects throughout Clark County.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract: • The term of the Contract s were from March 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods. There is 1 renewal option remaining. • Included the option to increase the award amount up to 10% based on possible increased user requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations. • Included the option to increase the award amount up to 3% for possible price increases for renewal terms. • Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide for the replacement of discontinued type of asphalt frequently used by Public Works. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.
J & J Enterprises Services, Inc., Las Vegas Paving Corporation, and Aggregate Industries SWR Inc.currently hold a Clark County Business License.
