The total Contract award was in the amount of $700,000. To date, the total Contract amount used is $640,738. The additional funding increase of $600,000 will bring the total Contract amount to $1,300,000. |
BACKGROUND:
On October 27, 2020, in accordance with the NRS 332 Resolution approved by the Board of County Commissioners (Board), the Department of Administrative Services, Purchasing and Contracts Division approved the award of CBE No. 605735-20 to Vogel Traffic Services, Inc. dba EZ-Liner Industries (LBE) in the amount of $700,000 for the purchase of a traffic lane striper machine.
A Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved to match existing equipment and for training purposes. The utilization of the Sourcewell contract also provides discounted pricing.
This Competitive Bidding Exception is for the purchase of a new traffic lane striper machine with Vogel Traffic Services, Inc. dba EZ-Liner Industries (LBE).
The following are the pertinent provisions of the approval:
• The term of the Contract being utilized is from October 2, 2017 through October 2, 2021 and includes the option to renew for 1, one-year period. There are no renewal options remaining.
• Clark County is not under exclusive contract with Vogel Traffic Services, Inc. dba EZ-Liner Industries and therefore, can cease purchasing product at any time.
A revised Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved to add funding to replace two striper machine trucks in the Public Works vehicle fleet.
This approval will provide for the purchase of two striper machine trucks with Vogel Traffic Services, Inc. dba EZ-Liner Industries (LBE).
The Business License Department has determined that a Clark County Business License is not required for this effort.
