BACKGROUND:
On January 7, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners approved a pre-qualification list to be used to select professional service providers for the period January 7, 2019 through December 31, 2020. On December 1, 2020, the Board approved a one-year extension of this list through December 31, 2021. Sunrise Engineering, Inc. (Corporation) was selected from the pre-qualification list, [Service] Surveying - Construction Staking - Minor, to provide construction land surveying services for the Decatur Boulevard Rehabilitation between Clark County 215 and Tropicana Avenue and Roadway Improvements to Sobb Avenue and Cameron Street project (Bid No. 605874-21).
County staff negotiated the attached professional services contract with Sunrise Engineering Inc. The contract describes the services to be provided and stipulated terms. Sunrise Engineering, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
Pursuant to Nevada Revised Statute 332.115(1)(b), contracts for professional services are not adapted to award by competitive bidding and, therefore, are exempt from the bidding requirements.
The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
