BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved and budgeted funding for the Mount Charleston - Echo View Pavement Rehabilitation project in RTC's Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund for Fiscal Year 2022.

The attached Interlocal Contract No. 1325 provides funds for improvements to existing roadways within the Mount Charleston Township, consisting of rehabilitation such as paving of dirt roadways, removal and replacement of failed pavement, resurfacing of paved roads, drainage facilities, traffic control devices, and related appurtenances and items necessary for a complete and functional project.  The time of performance is effective to December 31, 2026, unless time extensions are granted.

This project is included on the adopted RTC Capital Improvement Plan.  RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on October 14, 2021.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
