BACKGROUND:
On July 20, 2004, the Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing the Fire Chief to accept donations to the department in an amount not to exceed $2,500 in personal property and $1,000 in monetary donations. Individual donations valued at more than $2,500 in personal property or $1,000 in cash will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for acceptance at a regularly scheduled meeting.The Hartford has pledged a contribution of $20,000 to the Clark County Fire Department. These funds are specifically designated to support fire safety education efforts and programming. The Hartford requests that the funds from donation be utilized within one calendar year from October 12, 2021.The Clark County Fire Department appreciates the generosity and recommends ratifying acceptance of this donation.
