BACKGROUND: 

The Clark County LEPC is eligible for funding through this grant by maintaining compliance with the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC) policies. This grant will provide overtime funding for employees of the Combined Communication Center to complete HazMat incident exercises in the event of an evacuation and to set up operations at the secondary location at the Veteran's Tribute Career and Technical Academy. This grant will be sub-granted to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue for this exercise.

The SERC made the LEPC aware of this funding availability on November 8, 2021. The LEPC will meet on November 30, 2021 to approve this application.

Staff recommends that the Board ratify submission of the attached grant application.
