BACKGROUND:
On January 7, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners approved a pre-qualification list to be used to select professional service providers for the period January 7, 2019 through December 31, 2020. On December 1, 2020, the Board approved a one-year extension of this list through December 31, 2021. Poggemeyer Design Group, Inc. (Corporation), a Kleinfelder Company, was selected from the pre-qualification list, [Service] Surveying - Construction Staking - Minor, to provide construction land surveying services on the Russell Road between Stephanie Street and Boulder Highway and Hacienda Avenue between Nellis Boulevard and Stephanie Street project (Bid No. 605838-21).
County staff negotiated the attached professional services contract with Poggemeyer Design Group, Inc. The contract describes the services to be provided and stipulated terms. The time of performance is to February 20, 2024, unless time extensions are granted. Poggemeyer Design Group, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
Pursuant to Nevada Revised Statute 332.115(1)(b), contracts for professional services are not adapted to award by competitive bidding and, therefore, are exempt from the bidding requirements.
The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
