BACKGROUND:

The Clark County Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) has programmed funds for the design and construction of flood control improvements.  On August 13, 2020, Clark County and RFCD entered into an interlocal contract for construction and construction engineering for the Blue Diamond Channel 02 - Decatur Boulevard between Le Baron Channel and Richmar Avenue project.  The Board of County Commissioners approved this interlocal contract on September 1, 2020.

The attached Supplemental No. 1 to the interlocal contract increases total funds for construction for the project, due to higher than expected bids.

This project has been approved by RFCD on its annual Ten-Year Construction Program, and is described in the 2018 Clark County Flood Control Master Plan Update as Structures No. BD02, 0315.  RFCD approved the first supplemental contract at its meeting on November 18, 2021.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the first supplemental contract as to form.
