BACKGROUND:

On September 20, 2020, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) approved the Advanced Traffic Management System Maintenance (Fiscal Year 2020-2021) project (Clark County Public Works Project No. PW.R144JFT) with Clark County, City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, and City of Henderson (collectively, the "Member Entities") in the amount of $150,000, for engineering and maintenance of the advanced traffic management system during the 2020-2021 fiscal year on its annual Capital Improvement Program from Fuel Revenue Indexing Extension Funds.

RTC contracted with Cubic/Trafficware to provide advanced traffic management system software to operate the Southern Nevada traffic signal system, including the maintenance and support for hardware and associated equipment and devices for computers; software for computers; and upgrades and technical support.

On October 6, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners approved Interlocal Contract No. 1231 with RTC for this project.  The attached Supplemental No. 1 to the interlocal contract for Advanced Traffic Management System Maintenance adds City of Boulder City and City of Mesquite as Member Entities, increases total funds by $240,000 for a revised total of $390,000, and extends the time of performance to June 30, 2027.

The requested additional funds for this project are budgeted in RTC's Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund for Fiscal Year 2022.  RTC approved the supplemental contract at its meeting on November 18, 2021.  The other Member Entities are scheduled to approve the supplemental contract at their respective Council meetings

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the first supplemental contract as to form.
