BACKGROUND:

The Moapa Valley Fire Protection District (District) seeks ratification of the agreement with MountainView Hospital to develop a Paramedic Training Program for the purpose of receiving clinical instruction and hands-on experience for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) volunteers who desire to obtain training for paramedic certification. The cost of the program is $6,970 per participant. The District anticipates one participant each year with an annual cost of $6,970.  The Paramedic Program started on September 11, 2021.  The agreement is for three years unless terminated with a 60-day written notice.

The District's Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the agreement as to form.
