BACKGROUND:
Receive grant funds for NFL Green grant application submittal that was authorized by the BCC December 7, 2021. The National Football League and Verizon have developed a community matching grant program to fund a community "greening" project, including tree-planting, community gardens, habitat restoration or reforestation initiatives throughout the Las Vegas area. With acceptance of grant funds, Clark County plans to plant 600 native trees and 600 native plants in the Wetlands Park Nature Preserve. Staff recommends approval.
