BACKGROUND: 

Ms. Cooper is currently employed as a System Director of Communications for CommonSpirit Health which is a nonprofit healthcare system formed through a merger of Dignity Health and Catholic Health Initiatives.  Ms. Cooper is directly responsible for the internal communications and public relations efforts of teams across the country.  She collaborates on the organization’s response to the pandemic and vaccination efforts, developed the internal messaging and communications needed to foster a successful merger, and developed and managed crisis communications and reputation strategy for the Dignity Health hospitals and care sites.  Ms. Cooper also worked as the Communications Director for the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development.  Ms. Cooper’s skill set in communications, public relations, and crisis and reputational management will be a great addition to County's leadership team.  Ms. Cooper has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of Nevada Las Vegas.

Pursuant to Clark County Code Chapter 2.40.100, I am respectfully requesting that the Board ratify this
appointment.  Ms. Cooper's employment with Clark County will begin on February 22, 2022.
