BACKGROUND: 

At the July 6, 2021, Board of County Commissioners meeting, the Board approved funding for various recipients to conduct conservation programs and public access improvements, as well as enhancing search and rescue efforts in the Mt. Charleston area for Fiscal Year 2021/2022.  The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department was among those awarded funding ($20,923.00) for the acquisition of an enclosed OHV trailer and thermal imaging equipment.  Due to current supply chain issues, the original vendor's stock was rapidly depleted.  Updated bids were solicited, the lowest of which exceeded the amount originally awarded by $4,045.00.  There are sufficient funds in this account to cover the additional expense required to complete the purchase.

The District Attorney's Office has approved the amendment as to form.
