BACKGROUND:

On December 7, 2021, the Board acknowledged the ongoing discussion with Republic Services regarding updating and revising Chapter 9.04 of the Code and requested a timeline for introduction of an ordinance to amend this Chapter. Staff has been meeting with Republic Services for many months in drafting the proposed ordinance.

The proposed ordinance was introduced at the Board of County Commissioners' meeting on April 5, 2022, and a public hearing was set for April 19, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.  Staff recommends approval of the ordinance to amend Chapter 9.04 of the County Code.
