The total Agreement award is estimated in the amount of $70,242.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On February 2, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 606065-21 to Las Vegas Valley Water District in the amount of $62,688. Prior to execution of the Agreement by Las Vegas Valley Water District, the fee increased to $70,242. This approval will replace the approval received on February 2, 2022.

This Agreement will provide a conditional basis water commitment for a new community center within the existing Silverado Ranch Regional Park, located on the south side of Silverado Ranch Boulevard, west of Gilespie Street, on Clark County's Assessor's Parcel Number 177-28-101-020.
                     
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Agreement:
                     The term of the Agreement will begin upon Las Vegas Valley Water District (DISTRICT) approval of the                      plans.
                     This Agreement shall terminate, and the conditional commitment shall be void if any of the following                      occurs:
                     Construction of the water facilities covered by the plan or plans identified in Article 1, paragraph D of                      this Agreement is not diligently commenced within one (1) year from the date of DISTRICT approval of                      said plan or plans; or
                     If active construction work is discontinued for a period of one (1) year, or if such construction is                      commenced within said one (1) year period, but is not diligently prosecuted to completion in a manner                      acceptable to the DISTRICT.

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 277.180, the parties are authorized to enter into interlocal contracts to perform governmental functions and activities.
