Description:

Non-congregate shelter services for individuals impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic

Additional Comments:

The initial Contract amount was not to exceed $7,760,808.  Amendment No. 1 will increase the Contract amount not to exceed $2,732,249.50, for a new total Contract amount not to exceed $10,493,057.50 should all renewal options be exercised.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On December 21, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 606037-21 to Liberty Wellness Outpatient Counseling Center II, LLC (NBE) in the amount of $7,760,808 for non-congregate shelter services for families, medically fragile, and indigent individuals in need of respite transitional living due to the Covid-19 pandemic as identified as "high risk" individuals as defined by the Centers of Disease Control (CDC) and/or the Southern Nevada Continuum of Care and are experiencing homelessness.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
                     The term of the Contract was from November 15, 2021 through November 14, 2022 and included the                      option to renew for 1, six month period. There is 1 renewal option remaining.
                     Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract                      with advanced written notice.

Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide for additional space for non-congregate shelter services.  The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.

The Business License Department has determined that a Clark County Business License is not required for this effort.
