BACKGROUND:
On January 7, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners approved a pre-qualification list to be used to select professional service providers for the period January 7, 2019 through December 31, 2020. On December 1, 2020, the Board approved a one-year extension of this list through December 31, 2021. Taney Engineering, Inc. (Corporation) was selected from the pre-qualification list, [Service] Surveying Construction Staking - Minor, to provide construction land surveying services on the Las Vegas Boulevard Roadway Improvements between Tropicana Avenue and Flamingo Road - Phases E & F project (Bid No. 605978-21).
County staff negotiated the attached professional surveying services contract with Taney Engineering, Inc. The contract describes the services to be provided and stipulated terms. The time of performance is effective to June 27, 2024, unless time extensions are granted.
Taney Engineering, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
Pursuant to Nevada Revised Statute 332.115(1)(b), contracts for professional services are not adapted to award by competitive bidding and, therefore, are exempt from the bidding requirements.
The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
