BACKGROUND:

This vehicle (VIN #s 1FDYK84N3HVA09495), has been fully utilized by County Administrative Services and has been retired from service for exceeding the established replacement criteria. The White Pine County Fire Protection District needs to add a reliable duty vehicle to its fleet in order to enhance fire suppression efforts. The Cold Creek Volunteer Fire Department is White Pine County's most remote station, being 65 miles from the nearest town. This water tender will be a great asset in helping supply water to the 2, type 6 wild land trucks they currently have.

In accordance with NRS Chapter 334.030, a governmental entity may enter into a contract with another governmental entity for the purchase of surplus personal property without the necessity of bidding.

The District Attorney has approved the resolution and contract of sale form.
