BACKGROUND:
On December 21, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners approved a pre-qualification list to be used to select professional service providers for the period of January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2023. Aztech Inspections & Testing, LLC (Corporation) was selected from the pre-qualification list, [Services] Construction Management - Quality Assurance (Materials Testing and Inspection), to provide quality assurance or independent assurance testing and inspection on various Clark County Department of Public Works (CCPW) projects, as needed.
Due to CCPW’s present and anticipated project workload and its limited testing resources, the services of an outside consultant for independent quality assurance testing are needed. County staff negotiated the attached professional services contract with Aztech Inspections & Testing, LLC. The contract describes services to be provided and the stipulated terms. The time of performance is effective to December 31, 2024, unless time extensions are granted.
Aztech Inspections & Testing, LLC currently holds a Clark County Business License.
Pursuant to the Nevada Revised Statute 332.115(1)(b), contracts for professional services are not adapted to award by competitive bidding and, therefore, are exempt from the bidding requirements.
The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
