Initial contract amount was $4,500,000, and Supplemental No. 2 increase of $475,000 revises the total contract value to $4,975,000.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On April 8, 2021, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) approved Interlocal Contract No. 1265 for the Moapa Valley Airport Road Relocation project (also known as Perkins Field Airport) on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund.   The Board of County Commissioners approved this contract on May 4, 2021.

The County entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Clark County Department of Aviation (DOA) for the design and construction for the relocation of Airport Road in Moapa Valley.  The design is complete and DOA is ready to advertise and begin construction of the project.

RTC and the County previously approved one supplemental to the subject interlocal contract changing the funding account for the Moapa Valley Airport Road Relocation project.  The attached Supplemental No. 2 to Interlocal Contract No. 1265 increases total funds for additional construction for the project.

This project is identified on RTC's Capital Improvement Program.  RTC approved the second supplemental contract at its meeting on April 14, 2022.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the second supplemental contract as to form.
