BACKGROUND:
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved and budgeted funding for the Intersection Improvements Program - Roundabouts at Various Locations Phase II project in RTC's Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund for Fiscal Year 2022.
The attached Interlocal Contract No. 3018 allocates funds for construction with project improvements to six roundabouts in the Summerlin area. Three roundabouts located within the Willows Village will consist of pavement milling and Ultra-Thin Asphalt Concrete Surfacing overlay, curb ramp replacement, median adjustments, pavement markings, signing upgrades, and utility adjustments on Pavilion Center Drive at Spotted Leaf Lane/Desert Primrose Lane, Blue Willow Land at Desert Primrose Lane/Desert Marigold Lane, and Navajo Willow Lane at Havenwood Lane/Desert Marigold Lane. Median improvements will be applied to the three remaining roundabouts on Mesa Park Drive at Town Center Drive, Mesa Park Drive at Sky Post Way, and Hualapai Way at Regency Summit Avenue. Curb ramp improvements will also occur at the Mesa Park Drive at Town Center Drive location, and other appurtenances necessary for all aforementioned locations to construct a complete and functional project. The time of performance is effective to June 30, 2027, unless time extensions are granted.
This project is included on the adopted RTC Capital Improvement Plan. RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on April 14, 2022.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
