BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved and budgeted funding for the Dean Martin Drive between Tompkins Avenue and Sammy Davis Jr. Drive project in RTC's Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund for Fiscal Year 2022.

The attached Interlocal Contract No. 3020 allocates funds for construction with improvements on Dean Martin Drive between Tompkins Avenue and Sammy Davis Jr. Drive to consist of pavement rehabilitation, raised medians, curb ramp upgrades for Americans with Disabilities Act compliance, signing, pavement markings, concrete replacement, traffic signal upgrades, street lighting upgrades to light emitting diodes, utility adjustments, intelligent transportation system infrastructure, and other appurtenances necessary for all aforementioned locations to construct a complete and functional project.  The time of performance is effective to June 30, 2027, unless time extensions are granted.

This project is included on the adopted RTC Capital Improvement Plan.  RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on April 14, 2022.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
