BACKGROUND:

The Department of Business License accepted applications for new pawnshop licenses for a 30-day period beginning March 1, 2022, through March 30, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.  Clark County Code Section 6.24.100 limits the number of pawnshop licenses that may be issued based on the population in each established unincorporated town.   If the number of applications received exceeds the number of licenses that may be issued in an established unincorporated town, application priority will be determined by a random drawing.

Clark County Business Licensed received applications for the unincorporated town of Paradise which exceeded the number of licenses allowed.  Therefore, pursuant to Clark County Code Section 6.24.100, application priority will be determined by a random drawing at the Board of County Commissioners meeting.
