BACKGROUND:
On April 15, 2022, a consolidated Fiscal Year 2023 Clark County Tentative Budget was filed with the State of Nevada Department of Taxation. The consolidated document that was filed with the State includes the budgets for the Clark County General Fund and all other funds under the auspices of the County, the unincorporated towns and special districts, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the University Medical Center, the Clark County Water Reclamation District, the Eighth Judicial District Court and the Kyle Canyon Water District. As in prior years, it also includes the Southern Nevada Health District and Clark County Regional Flood Control District per the request of these agencies.
NRS 354.596 requires that a public hearing on the Tentative Budget be held no sooner than the third Monday in May, and no later than the last day in May. The Board, therefore, is being asked at this time to conduct a public hearing on the consolidated Fiscal Year 2023 Clark County Tentative Budget. The Department of Finance will be present to highlight the Tentative Budget for Clark County General Fund.
A copy of the Tentative Budget has been physically available for review by the public at the Clark County Clerk’s Office, the Clark County Manager’s Office and posted on the County’s website since April 15, 2022.
