The total Contract is estimated in the amount not-to-exceed $3,367,960 should all renewal options be exercised.

 

BACKGROUND: 

This Contract with United States Veterans Initiative (NBE) is to provide bridge housing, employment and training programs for households experiencing homelessness.

A Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved because United States Veterans Initiative has been providing housing, mental health and wellness, workforce development and individualized support since 2001 and they have a high success rate in providing transitional and/or permanent housing services.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
                     The term of the Contract is from February 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 and includes the option to                      renew for 4, one-year periods.
                     Includes the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with                      advanced written notice.

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 332.115.1(b), the competitive bidding process is not required as the services to be performed are professional in nature.

Unites States Veterans Initiative currently holds a Clark County Business License.
