BACKGROUND:
On March 19, 2002, the Clark County Board of County Commissioners adopted and approved a resolution creating the Clark County Shooting Complex Advisory Committee, and subsequently approved the committee charter and authorization on July 2, 2002.
On February 5, 2019, the Clark County Board of County Commissioners approved the membership to the committee to be extended to two years and eliminate the recording secretary position.
The following five (5) candidates were on the Shooting Complex Advisory Committee prior to the County shutdown on March 16, 2020, due to the Worldwide Covid 19 Pandemic. Their term would have expired on June 30, 2022. They are eligible for reappointment:
Martin Olson
Scott Lofgren
Scott Decker
Julie Black
Danny Talbot
The following two (2) new applicants are recommended for selection on the Advisory Committee:
Dan Stark
Stephen McFadden
The County Commission is asked to appoint seven (7) qualified individuals to serve on the Shooting Complex Advisory Committee for a two-year (2) term commencing July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2024.
Staff recommends approval of this request.
