RTC will provide funding for all costs associated with the "Perfect Storm" Special Events Management Study.  The County is only obligated to pay costs for its own staff time.

 

BACKGROUND: 

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada's (RTC) has approved and budgeted funding in RTC's Unified Planning Work Program Task #301-9300-22 for the development of the "Perfect Storm" Special Events Management Study.

RTC and Clark County mutually agree to collaborate through the "Perfect Storm" Special Events Management Study to develop a traffic management plan for the Resort Corridor to manage the demand and predicted impacts to the transportation network from multiple special events held in close proximity to one another.  RTC will be solely responsible for all fees, costs, and expenses associated with the Study, including costs for the Study Consultant selected to perform the scope of work.  The County will only be financially obligated for its own staff time.

The attached interlocal agreement outlines the roles and responsibilities of the County, RTC, and Study Consultant.  The time of performance for this interlocal agreement shall be effective from the date of approval by the governing body of the last Party approving and shall remain effective for a term of two years, not to exceed June 30, 2024, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the interlocal agreement at its meeting on April 14, 2022.

The Board of County Commissioners is scheduled to approve the interlocal agreement at its meeting on May 17, 2022.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal agreement as to form.
