BACKGROUND:
Bid No. 606039-21, for Bruce Woodbury Beltway Widening Craig Road to Grand Montecito Parkway & Various Safety Improvements was advertised on February 3, 2022 and opened on April 6, 2022. The Bid Amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for the improvements to the 6.3 mile section of the mainline beltway consisting of upgrading to a 6-lane controlled access freeway with a closed median area from Centennial Parkway to Grand Montecito Parkway with median widening; signing and drainage improvements from Craig Road to Centennial Parkway; and overhead signing structures with lighting and roadside protection at the Aliante Parkway interchange. The project includes reconstruction of the center median and shoulders, center and roadside safety improvements with barrier and guard rail installations, storm drainage facilities; high mast, bridge underdeck and ramp lighting modifications; design and installation of overhead sign structures and other traffic control devices with roadside protection and lighting; pavement markings; and other necessary appurtenances required to make a good, complete, and serviceable project. The project will also include safety improvements within the intersecting streets along the western beltway including installation of barrier rail, guard rail, and impact attenuators, removal of sidewalk, curb and gutter, and asphalt to accommodate these safety improvements.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 280 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
• Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience language as in all public works efforts of this type.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
