BACKGROUND:
On December 21, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners approved a pre-qualification list to be used to select professional services providers for the period of January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2023. J. S. & S., Inc. d/b/a Jemison Surveying & Services, Inc. (Corporation) was selected from the pre-qualification list category, [Services] Surveying: Construction Staking - Minor, to provide construction land surveying services on the Dean Martin Drive - Phase 2 between Tompkins Avenue and Sammy Davis Jr. Drive project (Bid No. 606129-22).
County staff negotiated the attached professional surveying services contract with Jemison Surveying & Services, Inc. The contract describes the services to be provided and stipulated terms. The time of performance is effective to September 22, 2023, unless time extensions are granted.
Jemison Surveying & Services, Inc currently holds a Clark County Business License.
Pursuant to the Nevada Revised Statute 332.115(1)(b), contracts for professional services are not adapted to award by competitive bidding and, therefore, are exempt from the bidding requirements.
The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
