The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved and budgeted funding for the Katie Avenue between Tomsik Street and Cimarron Road, and Cimarron Road between Katie Avenue and Spring Mountain Road project in RTC's Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund for Fiscal Year 2022.

The attached Interlocal Contract No. 3033 allocates funds for construction consisting of the roadway widening of Katie Avenue between Tomsik Street and Cimarron Road, and Cimarron Road between Katie Avenue and Spring Mountain Road, and including improvements of pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk, drainage culvert extension, pedestrian flashing beacons at Cimarron Road and Twain Avenue, streetlights, signing, striping, and other appurtenances necessary to construct a complete and functional project.  The time of performance is effective to June 30, 2027, unless time extensions are granted.

This project is included on the adopted RTC Capital Improvement Plan.  RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on May 19, 2022.
