BACKGROUND:

The Department of Aviation (DOA) has an existing contract with Johnson Controls Inc. (Company) to provide maintenance services for the CAS at Harry Reid International Airport. As the CAS is a critical component of the Airport Safety and Security Program, the DOA has negotiated an amendment to the contract that provides 24/7 on-site staffing to allow maintenance and support functions to be performed during hours that are most efficient operationally. Company has the experience, expertise, qualified personnel, and vital resources to accomplish these maintenance services.

This amendment will add two (2) additional one-year renewal options. The cost of each renewal option, if exercised, shall not exceed $2,387,540.00 annually.

In accordance with NRS 332.115.1(c), (g), (h), and (i), the competitive bidding process is not required because maintenance of the CAS may be more efficiently performed by a certain person; includes hardware and associated peripheral equipment and devices for computers; includes software for computers, and requires maintenance and support of associated computer software.

This amendment has been reviewed and approved as to form by the District Attorney's Office. Company currently holds a valid Clark County Business License.
