BACKGROUND:

Historically, the Clark County Flood Control District (District) has relied upon Clark County (County) to provide services required for it to run an efficient organization.  The practice has proven to be cost effective for the District.

On July 11, 2002, the County entered into an Interlocal Contract with the District for governmental services within the areas of Finance, Risk Management, Human Resources, Treasury, Legal Representation and Counsel, Information Technology, Internal Audit and general Administrative Services.

In 2007, Amendment No. 1 was approved which added SAP applications to the services provided by the County.

On June 19, 2012, Amendment No. 2 was approved by the Board for an additional ten (10) years commencing on July 1, 2012 and ending on June 30, 2022.

The District wishes to exercise its option to renew the Interlocal Contract for an additional ten (10) years.

Amendment No. 3 will extend the interlocal contract for an additional ten (10) years for the period commencing on July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2032, and will revise the calculation of charges for several services provided by the County on behalf of the District.
