Additional Comments:

The initial Contract amount was $5,251,243. Amendment No. 1 increased the Contract amount by $760,988.32. Amendment No. 2 increased the Contract amount by $337,606.20. Amendment No. 3 will increase the Contract amount by $660,287.94, for a new total Contract amount of $7,010,125.46 should all renewal options be exercised.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On July 19, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of RFP No. 603986-16 to Correct Care Solution, LLC (LBE) in the amount of $5,251,243 for medical services for Department of Juvenile Justice Services detention centers.

On July 14, 2021, the Department of Administrative Services processed a name change from Correct Care Solutions, LLC to Wellpath, LLC.
                     
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
                     The term of the Contract was from August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2017 and included the option to                      renew for 4, one-year periods. There are no renewal options remaining.
                     Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract                      with advanced written notice.

Amendment No. 1 extended the Contract term through March 31, 2022 and modified the staffing matrix to increase shift hours.

Amendment No. 2 extended the Contract term through June 30, 2022 and modified the staffing matrix for Spring Mountain Youth Camp to increase hours and days.

Approval of Amendment No. 3 will extend the Contract term through December 31, 2022, on a month-to-month basis to allow for the award of the new RFP. The attached Amendment No. 3 document details the modifications and costs involved. 

Wellpath, LLC, currently holds a Clark County Vendor Registration.
