BACKGROUND:

On December 6, 2021, the Clark County Department of Aviation (DOA) issued Request for Qualifications No. 21-028 (RFQ), for professional design services associated with Project. In accordance with FAA guidance, the DOA reviewed the qualified submittals. As a result, the DOA recommends Horrocks Engineers (Company) for the Project.

The contract will provide design services for the conversion and improvement of 4.4-miles of storm water conveyance facilities from surface to closed systems within an area which is generally bounded by Taxiway "A” on the north, the Airport Operations Area (AOA) fence parallel to Eastern Avenue on the East, the AOA fence parallel to Sunset Road on the south, and Taxiway “D” on the west.

In accordance with NRS 332.115.1(b), the services to be performed are professional in nature and therefore exempt from competitive bidding requirements.

FAA grant funds are anticipated to cover approximately 75% of the professional design services and construction costs for the Project.

This contract has been reviewed and approved as to form by the District Attorney's Office. Company currently holds a Clark County Business License.
