BACKGROUND: 

At the July 19, 2022, Board of County Commissioners’ meeting, the Board accepted the Mt. Charleston Town Advisory Board’s recommendations regarding the distribution of special license plate revenues for conservation programs and improvements for Fiscal Year 2023.

Pursuant to NRS 482.37935, the County may contract with an appropriate person or entity to use the Mt. Charleston special license plate revenues for conservation programs in support of the natural environment of the Mt. Charleston area.  The Board is asked to authorize the Chair to sign agreements with the Mt. Charleston Fire Protection District, Southern Nevada Off Road Recovery, the Back Country Horsemen of Nevada, Southern Nevada Conservancy, and Nevada Highway Patrol.
