BACKGROUND:

The computer hardware boards (SN#s SN0069613, SN0069621, SN0069623, and SN0069625) have been fully utilized by County Detention Services and have been retired from service for exceeding the established replacement criteria. The Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Centre has a need to incorporate these boards into their intercom and door slider system, the addition of which will contribute to the safety and security of both staff and inmates.

In accordance with NRS Chapter 334.030, a governmental entity may enter into a contract with another governmental entity for the purchase of surplus personal property without the necessity of bidding.

The District Attorney has approved the resolution and contract of sale form.
