BACKGROUND:

On July 6, 2005, the Board of County Commissioners approved Amendment No. 3 of the Development Agreement between Clark County (County) and The Howard Hughes Properties, Inc. and The Howard Hughes Corporation, (collectively HHC) which required HHC to design, construct (including interior finishes, supplies and equipment necessary to operate the facility) and convey to the County a standard 3-bay fire station location near the intersection of Flamingo Road and Towncenter Drive.  Ultimately, a site located at the northeast corner of Flamingo Road and Azimuth Point Drive was selected and agreed upon by both parties.

Additionally, HHC has provided funding for a fire engine, rescue unit and related equipment to operate each unit.

HHC has completed the construction of the fire station and obtained all permit approvals and Certificate of Occupancy.

This item was presented to the County Long Range Planning Committee on June 9, 2022.
