BACKGROUND:

On December 21, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners approved a pre-qualification list to be used to select professional services providers for the period of January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2023.  GCW, Inc. (Corporation) was selected from the pre-qualification list category, [Services] Surveying Construction Staking - Major, to provide construction land surveying services on the Cactus Avenue between Fort Apache Road and Buffalo Drive project (Bid No. 606164-22).

County staff negotiated the attached professional engineering services contract with GCW, Inc.  The contract describes the services to be provided and stipulated terms.  The time of performance is effective to February 23, 2024, unless time extensions are granted.

GCW, Inc currently holds a Clark County Business License.

Pursuant to the Nevada Revised Statute 332.115(1)(b), contracts for professional services are not adapted to award by competitive bidding and, therefore, are exempt from the bidding requirements.

The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
