BACKGROUND:
On November 21, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners approved a professional engineering services contract with GCW, Inc. for engineering services for the Clark County 215 Bruce Woodbury Beltway between Decatur Boulevard and Interstate 15 project. Two supplementals to the professional engineering services contract were subsequently approved by the Board for design of Phase Two of the Beltway, which is considered to be the ultimate configuration of the Beltway, and for additional design services, respectively.
The ultimate configuration of the Beltway includes a widened bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad Company's (UPRR) tracks. Therefore, this Public Highway Overpass Agreement is needed to provide for additional rights-of-way from UPRR as well as engineering and technical review for which UPRR needs to provide during construction, and after construction with a final inspection and project close-out documentation.
A payment of $312,645.38 from the County to UPRR has been agreed to for the additional UPRR rights-of-way. An estimated cost of $200,000.00 has been agreed to for the engineering and technical review effort that UPRR needs to provide during and after construction of the project. These two items total the $512,645.38 needed for the attached Public Highway Overpass Agreement between the County and UPRR.
The Public Highway Overpass Agreement is designated as Real Estate Project Number 0365836, and further designated as I-215, 913204J, 326.40 Cima Subdivision, Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the agreement as to form.
