BACKGROUND:

On June 16, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners adopted an interlocal agreement with the City of Mesquite for the City to join the County's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Urban County Consortium as a Subrecipient of County CDBG funds for Fiscal Years 2021-2023.  Per U.S. HUD requirements, the County must also enter into separate subsequent contracts for the actual receipt of the grant funds.

As a Subrecipient, the City of Mesquite is entitled to a portion of the County's CDBG entitlement allocation for the provision of capital projects of benefit to the low- and moderate-income residents of Mesquite. This contract specifies how the City of Mesquite has determined it will allocate its FY 2020/21 and FY 2021/22 capital projects.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved this Agreement as to form.
