BACKGROUND:

The UPS Stores in Clark County previously donated roughly $10,000 worth of books in 2020 in response to the impact of Covid-19.  This year, The UPS Stores in Clark County along with their charitable partner “The Toys for Tots Literacy Program” are donating $31,000 in new and gently use books to students in the community that need them most. These books will be utilized in the Clark County Parks and Recreation Safekey program at 90 locations.

The Toys of Tots Literacy Program offers our nation’s most economically disadvantaged children the ability to compete academically and to succeed in life by providing them direct access to resources that will enhance their ability to read and to communicate effectively.

These donations are in part to the generous customers who have made donations and have been collected across Southern Nevada in 2021 and 2022.  The local UPS Store Franchises and locations have promoted the Toys for Tots Literacy Program to help raise these funds and donations.
