BACKGROUND:

On July 20, 2022, the County Clerk received a petition objecting to the adoption of Ordinance No. 4959 from Mr. Edmund Uehling.

The petition alleges that Mr. Uehling has been aggrieved by the adoption of Ordinance No. 4959 because the business impact statement prepared by the County did not properly consider or significantly underestimated the economic effect of the rule on business.

On August 30, 2022, the Department notified Mr. Uehling that the Board would hear the petition on September 20, 2022, and take comments from the petitioner.

Staff recommends that the Board take comments from the petitioner, receive a recommendation from the Department of Business License regarding the merits of the petition and take any action deemed appropriate.
